Christian So guys welcome back to Coin Interview. Today we are going to have an update from Skycoin with one of the core developers, Synth. Question： I mean if Skycoin is so good I would definitely use it for my business over the rest but where can we see the proofs? The tests and all? Is there a website with more info and data? Is the network already strong with many nodes?

People want shitcoins.

Bitcoin at the start and now Skycoin have huge education and technical barriers.

Skycoin is new and from scratch and not a clone coin like these 500 ERC20 token, so for exchange to list they have to do real work (which they won’t want to do when its 6 people running an exchange supporting +300 shitcoins).

Question Regarding Latency and Privacy of the Meshnet

The meshnet is intended to allow funding nodes via micropayments in skycoin to cover bandwidth costs correct? Doesn’t this leave force all node operators to record detailed and published logs (on their personal block chains) describing all the transactions which inherently correspond to everyone who send data through their node? This seems like it would allow any third party to do traffic correlation attacks much like the ones on tor, except you don’t need access to the connections. Even if they don’t end up being publicly inspectable, logging everything seems like it might have some real issues (it can be requested by law enforcement, and takes up a lot of space)

Skycoin/CXO vs FileCoin/IPFS

We have been asked what is the difference between CXO and IPFS.

File Coin has the same objectives as a part of the Skycoin infrastructure, but is taking a different approach. They have three separate protocols:

IPLD
IPFS
Multi-formats

where,

IPLD is a representation language for immutable data objects and hashes.
IPFS is a file system
Mult-formats is a self describing data standard

In Skycoin, CXO does all three of those
